“Glee’s” Lea Michele clicks her heels to play “Dorothy of Oz”

Hollywoodnews.com: Lea Michele isn’t in Kansas anymore.

The “Glee” actress has been cast as the voice of Dorothy in the upcoming 3D animated musical “Dorothy of Oz” from Summertime Entertainment.

Actress joins comedians Jim Belushi who will play the Lion, Dan Ackroyd as the Scarecrow and Kelsey Grammer as the Tin Man.

Variety reports that “Dorothy” is the first feature film role for Michele. Film will be produced by Bonne Radford (“Curious George,” “The Road to El Dorado”).

The story follows Dorothy in a post-tornado Kansas before she returns to Oz to help her friends.

Bryan Adams will pen the songs for “Dorothy” with writing partner Jim Vallance. The production has no distributor as of yet.

Animated films are not normally my thing, but I’ll definitely see this movie just for Lea Michele. She’s so talented!
