Robert Pattinson would like to go on a date

By Kim Palacios

HollywoodNews.com: At the Los Angeles Twilight Convention, Robert Pattinson made some pretty endearing comments that hinted at the idea that the actor would one day love to have a family. Saying that he “just loves babies” and would one day like to have his son play him in a film, if a film were ever made about him further conquered the hearts of fans.

This morning, on the Today show, which showed a pre-recorded video of Pattinson sitting down with Today Show correspondent and former First Daughter Jenna Hager (nee Jenna Bush), the star expanded upon his views on family as well as on dating.

When asked whether he wanted to eventually settle down and get married, his answers were every bit as diplomatic as what we’ve heard in the past. Said Pattinson, “I don’t think settling down should be the same thing as getting married. I mean, I guess settling down just means not sleeping with everybody. I don’t like the idea of having to ‘settle’ though”.

Good answer, and typical for the actor, who, when being interviewed separately from co-star and rumored girlfriend Kristen Stewart manages to field relationship questions quite well. “I would like to go on a date,” the star went on to say. “I’m just putting that out there. Because I don’t go on dates anymore.”

What is he saying? That he likes to sleep around, just like that? How sick it is? How many times with one person? Once, twice? I guess he has to reach to fans for supplies of bodies. Normal person would avoid him by all costs. Young person and not serching for love but sleeping around? look and learn what fame does to you>

When Rob said those things about “loving babies” and “wanting his son to play him”, he was being goofy and sarcastic at an Eclipse convention. You guys gotta pay attention to how people say things as well as what they say. It’s not just one or the other.

He wants to go on a date? Another joke, I’m convinced. Rob’s with Kristen and you have to know that the actor says off-the-wall, silly stuff all the time. Hates giving a straight answer when it comes to getting “too personal”. Come on guys…even I know this!

Settling to Rob = moving in together, being monagomous
Marriage to Rob = spending eternity together in love
