10,000 Drake fans disappointed after show shut down

HollywoodNews.com: Justin Bieber may dominate the media, but rapper Drake may be the only one who can actually give Bieber fans a run for their money.

10,000 fans lined up to see him perform at a show scheduled in Manhattan, but the New York Police Department cancelled the show after the crowd became a safety concern for organizers of the event, reports MTV. Apparently they didn’t expect that big of a crowd to show up and ultimately pulled the plug on the show.

Drake told them, “I am humbled by the crowd that showed up in support of my performance and the release of Thank Me Later. I love performing for my fans, but unfortunately, the show was canceled by the NYPD due to overcrowding, leaving me without the chance to give my fans a real show. I’m thankful for the support that the fans have been giving me … I thank you now.”
