Tom Cruise’s “Knight & Day” hosting public sneak peeks this Saturday

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Curious. We know so little about Fox’s “Knight & Day,” yet a lot of movement has happened regarding it as we rush toward its June 23 release date.

First, the release date shifted. Then we found out there wouldn’t be a U.S. premiere. Instead, the film has had a whirlwind international tour for select press outlets.

Now? Fox is letting audiences see it early. Like, this weekend!

I’ve been told that “Knight & Day” will have special sneak preview screenings this Saturday, June 19. Audiences will be able to find showtimes in local listings.

Rarely do major summer releases participate in the sneak program, which can be used to generate positive word-of-mouth buzz. Fox is smart, however, with Father’s Day coming up, as this gives people a chance to bring dad to what looks to be a fun action movie. However, by hitting theaters this Saturday, “Knight & Day” also, unofficially, is going up against a little independent comedy called “Toy Story 3!”

Like I said. Curious.
