Ricky Martin reunites with producer Desmond Child

By Roger Friedman

HollywoodNews.com: Ricky Martin has reunited with Grammy award winning writer producer Desmond Child, the man who gave him “Living La Vida Loca.”

At last night’s stunningly good Songwriters Hall of Fame induction show, Child told me that he’s producing Ricky’s big comeback albums. There will be two–one in Spanish, one in English, with some overlapping tracks. Desmond tells me that one of them, called “Liar,” prompted Martin’s big coming out this spring.

“He was working on the song, and he said, I can’t live this way anymore.’ The next day, he made his announcement.”
The Ricky Martin news was one of many scoops and revelations at the SHOF, the best awards show of the year. Producers Linda Moran, Phil Ramone, and Hal David as usual pulled it off, but even better than ever this year.

Please, Robi Draco Rosa the man who gave him Living La Vida Loca and all his best songs. Desmond Child coproduced it and now he says that he is the author of the song. NO BABY. Draco is the author of the song and it’s a autobiographic song.

Robi Draco Rosa wrote Livin’ la Vida Loca not Desmond Child. One must have forgotten that Rosa went after Child when Child sold a sample of it to be used in Sisqo’s Thong Song without Rosa’s permission. Desmond Child was a producer, he didn’t come up with the music or lyrics.
