Harry Potter and Comic Con: Will It Happen in 2010?

By Hanako M. Ricks

HollywoodNews.com: I read a very interesting article on Hitfix.com last week, that discussed the possibility of the Harry Potter cast finally making an appearance at San Diego’s Comic-Con. With filming of the series having wrapped just two weeks ago, Comic-Con would be a great venue for the cast to appear to promote the final two films of the series, and give longtime U.S. con-goers the chance to see the stars live and in person (Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have never appeared at fan conventions, although other members of the cast regularly do). The only downside I could see to this would be the rumor that Emma is currently filming a movie (at least according to Universal Orlando, who stated that as the reason Emma was absent from the grand opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter).

So what do you think, Potterphiles? Are you planning a trip to Comic-Con this year, and would you like to see the cast there?

And just to tide you over until we receive more new footage, here is the most recent trailer for Deathly Hallows, as it was broadcast on the MTV Movie Awards earlier this month:

Harry Potter has GOT to go to Comic-Con. If not for DH part one then for part two. They can’t deny all the fans the chance to dress up as Harry, Bellatrix, Voldemort, Umbridge, Dobby, Lucius Malfoy, a hippogriff (althought many of us do it anyways), there are SO MANY characters and it would be AMAZING to have the actors there!! They’ve GOT to do it! No exceptions!!
