Jersey Shore cast to parody “Twilight” on Jimmy Kimmel Live special “Twilight: Total Eclipse of the Heart”

By Kim Palacios“: I feel like I’ve been preparing for this show for my whole life,” Jimmy Kimmel quipped to Good Morning America correspondent Cameron Matheson, who interviewed Kimmel on Monday about his upcoming special, “Twilight: Total Eclipse of the Heart”. The hour-long special will air at 10PM on June 23rd, and will feature an extended cast interview with Kimmel as well as a series of questions asked directly by fans.

“Ummm…this question is for Taylor…” crooned an adoring teenage fan in a preview clip of the special, “Um, I was just wondering whether your abs are real or sprayed on, and if they’re real, could you please show the audience?” Lautner just blushed and begged for mercy as the crowd screamed.

The preview hinted at more good fun for Twilight fans, including spoofs of scenes from the first movie, “Twilight”, predicated on Kimmel’s joke that Pattinson and Stewart weren’t meant for the original cast. Recreated are parts in which Edward jumps in to save Bella from a van that is careening toward her, out of control after sliding on a patch of black ice, and another in which Edward reveals his skin as sparking in the sun. Cast as Bella and Edward are actors from Jersey Shore (including Snooki, who plays Bella). In the parody sketch, the name of the film is changed to “Friggin’ Twilight”.
