Rupert Grint Trades Wands for Guns in New Movie

By Hanako M. Ricks

HollywoodNews.com: Harry Potter star Rupert Grint has traded in his wand for a deadlier weapon of choice in his new film, Wild Target. In the film Grint plays Tony, an unsuspecting apprentice to hitman Victor Maynard (played by fellow Harry Potter star Bill Nighy), who is hired to kill Rose (Emily Blunt) but ends up falling for her instead. Humor, hijinks and murder ensue. The latest trailer gives us a glimpse of Grint’s comical side, and indicates that the movie will be an interesting departure from the trials and tribulations he’s used to facing at Hogwarts.

Wild Target stars Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, Rupert Everett and Rupert Grint. It has already been released in the U.K., but won’t hit U.S. theaters until October 8, 2010.
