Thomas Roberts gets an earful as guest panelist on “The View”

By Greg Hernandez I pity anyone who sits between Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck as a panelist on The View.

These women are so used to talking over each other that getting your point across is no easy task!

But Thomas Roberts, the out newsman currently anchoring on NBC and MSNBC, bravely joined those three ladies and guest moderator D.L. Hughely on today’s show.

With Whoopi Goldberg is on vacation and Barbara Walters recovering from heart surgery, the show has been welcoming a series of guest panelists – including some men!

Thomas’s first words on the show were “bring on the crazy” and at one point asked Joy to do her “So what? Who cares?” routine.

When he talked a little bit about World Cup but seemed out of his comfort zone, I wondered if many of the viewers knew then that Thomas is gay! If they did not, he made it clear when he mentioned that he came out 10 years ago at the age of 27.
