Twilight “Eclipse” Red Carpet Premiere line and camping rules announced

By Kim Palacios

HollywoodNews.com: Without a doubt, fans will soon be lining up just to get a glimpse of the Twilight “Eclipse” stars as they walk the red carpet. In a recent press release, Summit Entertainment announced details and instructions for the camping crowd. Contrary to what some fans had hoped, Summit’s system is designed for those wishing to gain entrance to the official viewing area—fans camping out will not be eligible for tickets to the premiere itself.

Among key details are the location (Los Angeles’ NOKIA Plaza), the earliest time that fans will be permitted to camp (6:00AM on Monday, June 21st), and what they can expect when they get there (a numbered wristband issued on a first-come first-served basis. An incomplete list to which campers will be asked to adhere are as follows:

1. ONLY Standard Sized Pop Tents will be allowed (4’x4′ [16 sq. ft.] or less. No oversized tents, staked tents, etc., due to limited space)
2. ABSOLUTELY No Drugs or Alcohol allowed on premises
3. No Cooking On-Site or open flame
4. No amplified music. All music devices must be used with headset or earphone
5. Smoking in Designated Areas Only outside of the NOKIA Plaza boundaries
6. Fans are responsible for their own property. LA Live, AEG, nor Summit is responsible for any lost or stolen items
7. Everyone must please pick up after themselves. A fine will be enforced for anyone who litters on Nokia or LA City property
8. Please only use the restrooms designated for fans and respect the other area businesses
9. Guests must follow the rules and directions of L.A. LIVE Management/Summit Security at all times

The premiere itself will be the evening of June 24th, making the wait long for many dedicated Twi-hards. For some, it will be worth it just to get close to the stars.

Summit screwed people over with the wristbands and rule. According to the website the wristbands reserves you a spot. However once we got out wristbands that morning it was now required to camp out in LA for the next 3 days til the premiere. Not everyone was countint on that. Nowhere on the website did it say required to camp out. Andd to make it worse security did not care that people were pushed and shoved and almost ran over for when they started to give them out. Many people complained and I am one of the many that called Summit and just got transfered to a voicemail. I bet you no one cares over at Summit. Not all fans are teenagers, some are moms and have work or kids to tend to. Bet they didn’t care about that.
