Go Behind the Scenes with Ashley Greene at Her Women’s Health Cover Shoot

By Tracy Rosenfield

hollywoodnews.com: Ashley Greene, who plays “Alice Cullen” in “The Twilight Saga,” graces the July/August cover of Women’s Health. The magazine recently released a behind the scenes video of the shoot where Greene talks about her fitness regimen and the “Twilight” films.

Greene said she identifies with the magazine because, “it’s all about being healthy and happy and active” and she believes she lives her life that way. She feels that her fitness regimen is harder, but more effective during the “Twilight” films because the cast has personal trainers and practices martial arts. When she’s not filming, she tries to eat healthy and stay active.

For Greene, active doesn’t necessarily mean a leisurely jog. As a kid, she danced, swam, played volleyball and did tae-kwon-do. Today, she likes to play sports or activities where she’s engaged so it doesn’t feel like she’s working out. She keeps it fun and exciting.

When training for the “Twilight” films, Green says the competitive nature comes out in the cast. With the same trainer, they all try to see who can do the most number of squats in a minute or who could run a mile in the shortest amount of time.

Greene also talks about her down-time on set and how everyone is friends since they’ve been working together for so long. As we’ve heard before, they often have cast dinners and jam sessions since many of the cast members are also musicians.

Finally, Greene feels like “Twilight” has been so successful because the story is relatable and people in high school want to see someone they can relate to. With the myriad of personalities in the Cullen Clan, Greene believes there’s someone everyone can say reminds them of themselves.
