Jimmy Fallon releases more “Robert is Bothered” parody sketches of Robert Pattinson

By Kim Palacios

HollywoodNews.com: Jimmy Fallon’s “Robert is Bothered” comedy sketch parodying Robert Pattinson is so popular as to have its own web site (http://www.robertisbothered.com/). Two new sketches were recently released, with Fallon’s twisted portrayal of the Brit as funny as before.

Fallon’s Robert is half Edward Cullen, half ornery southeastern Brit. The sketches do little to mimic the true Robert Pattinson’s manner, instead positioning Fallon’s Robert character as sounding off about things that irk him. “Hi, I’m Robert Pattinson,” each sketch more or less begins, “…and sometimes when things bother me, I like to climb up in my little tree and I think about all the little things that bother me.” And what bothers Robert in the most recent sketches? The iPad and The World Cup.

When Fallon’s Robert isn’t busy hating different things, he’s often shown in one-sided conversation with a life-sized blow-up doll styled in the likeness of the Twilight films’ Bella. The most popular “Robert is Bothered” sketch was one in which Pattinson himself appeared to challenge Fallon’s impersonation. “Hey!” the real Pattinson shouts after joining Fallon in the tree, “I don’t talk like that!” That particular sketch aired in conjunction with Pattinson’s visit to the show during the November 2009 promotion of “New Moon”. It and all archived “Robert is Bothered” clips from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon can be viewed on http://www.robertisbothered.com.
