TV’s “Merlin” to Add Some Potter Magic Next Season

By Hanako M. Ricks

HollywoodNews.com: While talking to USA Weekend about guests stars on his SyFy series, “Merlin”, star Colin Morgan gave away a few details about the upcoming third season, which Harry Potter fans may find interesting:

Fans of the Harry Potter films will see a few familiar faces. One of the great people who we just had recently was Miriam Margolyes, who features as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films, and she is just an absolute blast. That’s an episode in the third series, the sixth, to look forward to. And one I’m really excited about, and he hasn’t been in yet, is Warwick Davis. I’m a huge fan of Willow from growing up, and he’s featured in Harry Potter.

“Merlin” already has one tie to the Harry Potter films; the character of The Dragon is voiced by John Hurt, who has played Diagon Alley wandmaker Mr. Ollivander in the Sorcerer’s Stone and Deathly Hallows, Parts I & II.

“Merlin” tells the story of the legendary sorcerer as a teenager, and all of the adventures he faces. It airs on the SyFy channel; check local listings for times and dates.
