Will.i.am on Fergie and Peas: No, no, no, no she won’t phunk us apart

Hollywoodnews.com: Will.i.am smashed online rumors via Twitter on the recent scuttle bucket that Fergie is set to leave the Black Eyed Peas.

“Don’t believe gossip about Fergie leaving the group,” the rapper-producerTweeted. “(We are never breaking up) it’s all lies!!!”

Access Hollywood picked up on the Tweet.

Radar Online wrote yesterday that Fergie was backing out of the 2011 Black Eyed Peas tour; that she’s had it with Will.i.am and wants a baby with hubby Josh Duhamel.

It comes as no surprise to hear that Fergie might be cross: the British press has constantly reported that Will.i.am has been nurturing his latest protégé Cheryl Cole; who has been an opener for the group in the U.K. Should Fergie flee that could make Cole her replacement. The U.K. press also writes that Fergie is smitten with Cole and her beauty. Cole is currently a hit pop icon across the Pond who has yet to make her way to the states.

But the fact is without Will.i.am, Fergie is nothing. The music producer-performer has continually put her in the best light, particularly on her 2007 album “The Dutchess.” No word as to when her follow-up solo album is due.
