‘Glee’ second season to focus on original cast’s storylines

Hollywoodnews.com: More season 2 news on “Glee.”

Ryan Murphy says that despite all the guest stars we’re hearing about, i.e. John Stamos, Charice, most of them are connected to the original cast’s plotlines.

“They’re really there to support the main characters’ stories,” Murphy tells Entertainment Weekly, “Like John Stamos is always going to be a part of Will’s story. The emphasis in the second season is on our original characters even though we’re adding a few smaller parts. You’re gonna get more backstory on all of these kids.”

One of the few frosh characters Murphy will develop is the Cheerio Brittany played by Heather Morris. The character was introduced during the second half of season 1 and received a positive reaction from fans.

“I feel an obligation to write more for people we already have that are great,” says Murphy on Brittany’s forthcoming episode.
