Howard Stern’s wife says he won’t judge ‘American Idol’

Hollywoodnews.com: “American Idol” fans can breathe a sigh of relief: Howard Stern, 56, won’t fill Simon Cowell’s shoes.

Word comes straight from Stern’s wife; model Beth Ostrosky Stern, 37, who spoke with People magazine.

“I think it would be great,” says the model about the idea of Stern judging, “But do I think it’s going to happen? No.”

Stern’s wife gets a kick out of her husband while they watch “American Idol.”

“I’m in stitches, he’s so funny but yet he’s very serious about it. And he’s also a big cheerleader for the contestants and he’s very honest.”

Reports that Stern was a contender surfaced in February. He hinted about it on his SiriusXM radio show exclaiming, “I have been offered a job at one of the big networks … to host a — well, not host, but judge a primetime show.” Two months later, Stern took the statement back in an on-camera shot with TMZ.
