What will happen to the Team Jacob allegiance when it’s time for “Breaking Dawn”?

HollywoodNews.com: Team Edward and Team Jacob fans are rallying in their respective camps for “Eclipse”, but how will Team Jacob fans support their favorite wolf in “Breaking Dawn”? Near the beginning of the final Twilight film, Edward will emerge as the unmistakable victor in winning Bella. Yet, will fanfare leading up to “Breaking Dawn” find Team Jacob fans still holding on?

They might. Considering that most die-hard fans already know how the story ends, those holding on to Team Jacob do so with the knowledge that it’s a lost cause. Will they show their support by maintaining allegiance to Jacob until the end, or will “Breaking Dawn” see a shift in viewpoint on Jacob’s intended?

And, what about merchandising? Retailers such as Nordstrom and fast food chain Burger King have made a fortune off of the polarity of fans. But, since Team Edward versus Team Jacob will be a moot point for “Breaking Dawn”, how will these franchises choose to speak to different sections of the fan base?

It’s too soon to tell, but the possibilities are wild, particularly given the controversial nature of Jacob imprinting on newborn half-breed Renesmee. Perhaps the “Team whoever” concept will melt into a simple show of appreciation for a fan’s favorite character. I, myself, am Team Carlisle.
