Jason Bateman apologizes for cutting in line to get the iPhone

HollywoodNews.com: Last week we reported that Jason Bateman showed up to stand in line at a Los Angeles store to purchase the new iPhone and was “plucked out and escorted straight inside.” This caused the other 2,000 fans standing in line to be outraged and even started booing and hissing at him.

Originally, Bateman had stated that he cut the line to avoid the paparazzi, but now he has taken to his twitter to apologize. He tweeted, “Correction- If there were boos, I didn’t hear them. If some were mad, I didn’t see them. I wish I had. If you’re out there, I’m sorry.”

According to US Magazine, witnesses stated that there was only one paparazzi that was across the street at least 40 feet away.

It looks like Bateman is trying to bury the fire before it gets too out of hand.
