Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Stephenie Meyer named to Forbes 100 Most Powerful Celebrities
By Tracy Rosenfield
HollywoodNews.com: On June 28th, Forbes released its annual list of the 100 most powerful celebrities in the world. Among the top 100 are Robert Pattinson, who ranked #50 earning $17 million, Kristen Stewart, who ranked #66 earning $12 million and Stephenie Meyer, who ranked #59 earning $40 million.
The celebrity power list is developed taking into account a person’s earnings (including endorsements, film earnings, etc.) and “star power.” Star power is measured by how popular the star is in print, on TV, on blogs, in Twitter feeds and other mediums. This measurement is likely what lead to Pattinson outranking Meyer, despite her significant lead in earnings.
Forbes stated that overall, aside from Lady Gaga, there is probably no other group of celebrities that has attained more popularity than the “Twilight” stars in the past 12 months. Though Taylor Lautner didn’t make the list this year, Forbes says he’s one to watch for in the coming years.
What a great list for these three to make just two days before the opening of “Eclipse,” the third installment of “The Twilight Saga.” With “Breaking Dawn” filming starting at the end of the year, if the actors maintain their star power, we’ll likely continue to see them on this list for years to come.
