Lindsay Lohan’s cocaine mishandled by police booking her in 2007 DUI

Hollywoodnews.com: If someone is keeping score between Lindsay Lohan and the Santa Monica Police force over her 2007 DUI arrest, the “Parent Trap” actress just scored a slam-dunk.

While blood tests revealed that Lohan had cocaine in her system after taking a joyride on Pacific Coast Highway 1, TMZ has uncovered the police report and learned that the cops have contaminated with the cocaine evidence, which they were planning to use against the actress.

Per the report, the cop processing Lohan mistook the caked up cocaine on her Clinique sun care card as a wet breath mint and tossed it in the garbage. Upon realizing that it could be cocaine, he retrieved it two minutes later.

TMZ retrieved the following excerpts:

“Some of the white substance fell to the floor. I used my foot to see what had fell but thought nothing of it. I did not recognize the substance attached to the card and initially thought the substance was a wet crushed breath mint.”

“I put the card into the jail trash can next to the booking windows. I was looking at the floor and began to recognize the substance as resembling powder cocaine. I then recovered the card from the trash.”

Apparently, the cops mishandling of evidence has greased the wheels for a decent plea bargain for Lohan.

Why isn´t there a bigger stigma attached to cocaine use in the US? Cocaine users have a loooooot of blood on their hands. Check out the news from Mexico. Seriously.
