Full Cast of Scorsese’s “Hugo Cabret” includes former Potter Actors

By Hanako M. Ricks

HollywoodNews.com: Not too long after famed director Martin Scorsese stated he’d be interested in working with Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, comes word that his latest film, Hugo Cabret, has some well-known actors who also have ties to the wizarding franchise.

Richard Griffiths (Vernon Durley) Frances de la Tour (Madame Maxime) and Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy) have all been named as part of the cast of Scorsese’s first ever 3D film, which is already in production. The film is based on the novel “The Invention of Hugo Cabret”, and is about an orphan in the 1930s who lives in the walls of a train station. He is tasked with finishing the work of his late father on a broken robot.

Other notables in the cast include Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jude Law.

Hugo Cabret is scheduled for release in December 2011.
