First look at Johnny Depp in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4’

HollywoodNews.com: Captain Jack Sparrow is back! Disney is barely a month into production on ‘Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides’, but already two new photos have been released of Johnny Depp reprising his role as the savvy captain on set in Hawaii.

‘Stranger Tides’ is directed by Rob Marshall (a first-time director for the franchise) and additionally stars Geoffrey Rush returning as the sometime-villainous Captain Barbossa along with several newcomers including Penelope Cruz, Gemma Ward, and Ian McShane. The plot reportedly centers around the infamous pirate Blackbeard and the legendary Fountain of Youth. Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom will not be returning.

How excited are we for a fourth trip out to sea with the worst pirate we’ve ever heard of (but we have heard of him)? When will we get a peek at Cruz or McShane in character? Should a fourth film rightfully even exist at all? Regardless, it hits theaters on May 20, 2011.
