Bonnie Wright Discusses Career, Deathly Hallows Epilogue

HollywoodNews.com: HollywoodNews.com: While visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter last month, Harry Potter‘s Bonnie Wright sat down with MTV News to talk about her experience of playing Ginny Weasley, sister to Ron and future wife of our hero.
The actress, who began playing the role of Ginny at the age of 9, did not expect for her role in the series to expand in the way that it has.
“Being the person who sort of ends up with the hero of this franchise is never something I ever would have imagined. It’s just been so exciting, so lovely to have something that develops further, and you can make her my own and take things from your own life growing up and put those things into it.”
The actress also talks about the highly anticipated Epilogue scene – where the characters have aged by 19 years – where the character of Ginny Weasley comes full circle; the location of King’s Cross is where we first meet her character, and it is also where we will last see her.
“It wasn’t my last scene, but it was one of my last scenes. That’s where I started the journey of ‘Harry Potter,’ on the platform, and then to see the girl who’s playing our daughter was just psychologically, it was very weird, because she’s the same age as me. It was literally having a whole cycle of the journey.”
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released in theaters November 19, 2010 (Part 1) and July 15, 2011 (Part 2).
