Lindsay Lohan’s prison accommodations; actress defends manicure
HollywoodNews.com: When Lindsay Lohan heads to jail on July 20 for 90 days, she won’t have to worry about living with another prisoner.
Lohan is getting “a cell by herself,” Steve Whitmore of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office said Wednesday.
“She would be separated from the general population,” he told the New York Daily News.
“She would be in a pod with other inmates in the same classification.”
Meanwhile, People reports that Lohan’s use of the F word on her middle-finger nail, wasn’t an expletive directed at the judge handling her case.
“Didn’t we do our nails as a joke with our friend?” Lohan Tweeted to a pal on Wednesday. “It had nothing to do w/court.. it’s an airbrush design from a stencil.”
Lohan can look forward to spending time in a 12’ by 8’ cell. It has a bunk and one toilet. She’ll be woken at 5 a.m. sharp. Prisoners are released from their cells for an hour a day. They can buy candy and shampoo in the commissary. Make-up is forbidden. They are often donned in dark blue uniforms and wear bras and underwear that are prison-issued. The food is horrible.
The New York Daily News does a rundown of other femme celebs who have served time:
–Nichole Richie was sentenced to four days in the jail a couple years ago – and released after just 82 minutes due to overcrowding.
–“Lost” actress Michelle Rodriguez served 18 days of a 180-day sentence.
–Paris Hilton served just 23 days of a 45-day sentence she called “a pretty traumatic experience.”
