Mel Gibson refers to punching ex-girlfriend on tape
HollywoodNews.com: There’s verbal evidence that Mel Gibson hit his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Gibson can be heard on tape referring to his physical actions. On the reel, he tells Grigorieva “You f—ing deserved it.”
Gibson’s forked tongued words are from a Jan. 6 fight he had with Grigorieva at his Malibu mansion. She says that the “Passion of the Christ” director punched her twice in the face while she was holding their eight-month old daughter, Lucia; the outcome of which was a loose tooth for the Russian pop singer.
“What kind of a man is that who would hit a woman when she is holding a child in her hands, hitting her twice in the face? What kind of a man is that?” Grigorieva is heard telling Gibson, according to Radar.
Grigorieva and Gibson are currently in a nasty custody battle over Lucia.
Grigorieva began secretly recording Gibson after he threatened to kill her. Gibson’s attorneys are denying that the actor-director hit her on tape; they were just having a loud argument. Whether Grigorieva’s tapes are admitted by the court as evidence is a big question.
Recorded conversations are typically barred from a California case unless both parties have consented to the recording. It is illegal under most states to record a conversation without the second party’s approval.
