Julian Lennon was also onstage for “A Little Help from My Friends.” I think a lot of people don’t recognize him these days., but he was there.

I was there , too , and it was utterly amazing. To see those two living legends together onstage is something my children and I will never forget. I thought the crowd was going to blow the roof off of Radio CIty when Sir Paul walked in. And, RIngo did open with It Don’t Come Easy… fantastic!!! All of the All Starrs were outrageous, but Edgar Winter was absolutely superb, running around the stage playing three different instruments during “Frankenstein.” What a night!

I was there and your report is 99.9% perfect! Filled with Beatle fans, there was an overwhelming surge of energy in Radio City once it was realized they were setting up McCartney’s amp and a crew member held his signature Hofner bass. And then absolute mayhem hit the place when the lights came up and the living Beatles ripped through Birthday!!! (minor note: Ringo opened with It Don’t Come Easy)
