Betty White continues her hot streak with an Emmy nomination

The comedy icon, currently starring in the new hit comedy Hot in Cleveland, was nominated for an Emmy Award earlier today for her wildly successful stint at host of Saturday Night Live.

Betty’s competition in the guest actress category is pretty stuff: Tina Fey for Saturday Night Live; Elaine Stritch for 30 Rock, Kristen Chenowith for Glee, Jane Lynch for Two and a Half Men, Christine Baranski for The Big Bang Theory and Kathryn Joosten for Desperate Housewives.

The Betty White episode of SNL that it also got nominations for directing, writing, art direction, hair styling, lighting and makeup.
