Disney stars cast in ‘Mean Girls 2′

By Whitney Milam The Plastics are back, colder and harder and shinier than ever, in director Melanie Mayron’s (“Naked Brothers Band”, “Wizards of Waverly Place”) straight-to-video sequel to “Mean Girls”. Disney starlets Jennifer Stone (“Wizards of Waverly Place”), Meaghan Jette Martin (Camp Rock), and Nicole Anderson (“JONAS L.A.”) are already signed to the project, and now Maiara Walsh of “Cory in the House” (pictured above) has confirmed on Twitter that she’ll be playing the leader of the Plastics in this sequel reboot, which reportedly revolves around Martin’s character in the film–a new girl named Jo–being paid to befriend outsider Abby, and the two girls teaming up together to take down the Plastics until Abby discovers her friendship has been bought, with predictably disastrous consequences.

What do you think of this attempted sequel to one of the great classics of our time? So fetch, or not ever going to happen? And with Cady Heron’s real-life counterpart now facing 90 days of jail time, is it inevitable to wonder where these fresh-faced new replacements will be themselves in five years?

Whatever, I’m getting cheese fries.

I think this is going to end horribly. First of all, Jenifer Stone? Are you serious? Second of all, Meaghan Jette Martin cannot pull off the whole, ‘New girl/smart person/innocent’.
I think they should just except that no one can remake this fantastic movie.
    Why ruin the great memory?
