Sarah Jessica Parker is upset with ‘Sex and the City 2′ director?
HollywoodNews.com: Sarah Jessica Parker is apparently irate with “Sex and the City 2” writer-director Michael Patrick King after the film was poorly received by its fans and at the box office.
The sequel based on the HBO comedy series generated $94 million at the domestic B.O. – close to 40% less than the first installment.
Digital Spy has been reading a National Enquirer story where a source exclaims: “Don’t look for Michael on future projects – SJP feels he’s lost his hit-making touch.
“She felt unsure about the script from the start, especially the whole ‘the girls drop in on Dubai’ twist, but Michael assured her they had a blockbuster on their hands… and told her to trust him. She did – but she won’t make that mistake again.”
The film’s studio, Warner Bros., took a gamble in opening the film over Memorial Day weekend – a frame typically reserved for male tentpole films.
There have been rumors of a “Sex and the City” prequel.
