Carrie Underwood gets married

HollywoodNews.com: On the heels of Martin Lawrence and his g.f. Shamicka Gibbs as well as Emily Blunt and John Krasinki all making life long commitments, Carrie Underwood walked down the aisle with her hockey player b.f. Mike Fisher on Saturday.

The couple were married at a luxury resort outside Atlanta, Ga. before 250 guests. RadarOnline believes that the event cost a half million dollars.

“We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” Fisher and Underwood told People in a statement.

Underwood looks to have legally taken his last name based on the statement’s signatures.

The country singer donned a Chantilly lace dress designed by Monique Lhuillier. Guests included Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Faith Hill and Garth Brooks.

Fisher got down on one knee and asked the big question to Underwood just prior to Christmas. He plays for the Ottawa Senators.
