David Beckham continuing to recover after pre World Cup injury, calls himself a frustrated animal

HollywoodNews.com: Footballer David Beckham has admitted that the best thing about his foot injury has been spending more time with his family.

The 35-year-old was left devastated when he picked up an injury shortly before the World Cup, ruling him out of the tournament. He is now coming up for his fourth months since the injury and said he’s continuing to recover. Beckham said during a live Yahoo webchat: “It’s been tough – it’s been more tough for my wife. As when I’m not playing football, I’m a different animal, I get very frustrated. But I’ve been able to spend time with my children and my wife, so that’s been the best thing.”

Beckham then revealed that he was told off for kicking a football about in South Africa because of his injury. Asked about pictures of him with a ball, he said: “Yeah, I got told off for that. Because on my schedule when I had the surgery, you know, the surgeon gave me a schedule, which I kind of just put in the cupboard straight away. And I thought when I feel right, I’ll know what to do.”
