Matt Smith “plans to quit” ‘Doctor Who’ after next series, says pal

HollywoodNews.com: “Doctor Who” star Matt Smith is reportedly planning to quit his job as the Timelord next year.

The 27-year-old actor, who is currently dating model Daisy Lowe, is said to be keen to further his movie career and may leave after just two series. He is currently shooting the Christmas special of the BBC sci-fi show, which will feature an appearance from singer Katherine Jenkins.

A pal said to UK newspaper The Sun: “Matt plans to quit after the next series. He is eager to try new things and thinks Hollywood beckons.”

It is claimed bosses will be shocked to hear of the young actor’s plans as he has become a popular replacement for former Doctor David Tennant.

“Says Pal” – Yeah. ’cause that’s a real viable source right there.
Honestly, does the word CONTRACT mean anything to you people?
