Cheryl Cole still too ill to travel for ‘X-Factor’
HollywoodNews.com: ‘X Factor’ judge Cheryl Cole may have to film part of the show in the UK while the other judges film abroad, according to reports.
The 27-year-old ‘Girls Aloud’ singer is currently recovering from malaria and is too ill to travel. But if she makes a full recovery in time, she might be able to take part in the section of the talent competition where the judges jet off to glamorous locations across the globe to pick their contestants for the live shows.
On last year’s show Cole traveled to Morocco, but this year she might have to stay on home turf to make the decision about who she wants in the final.
A source told UK newspaper the Daily Mail: “At this stage, we are looking at different ways to make things as easy as possible for Cheryl. No decision has been made yet about judges’ homes.” The insider added: “It’s still some way off, so we will see closer to the time.”
Guest judges including singer Katy Perry have so far stepped in for the Parachute singer while she has been in hospital. This year’s ‘X Factor’ has already been thrown into disarray as fellow judge Dannii Minogue is currently unable to film the show as she is on maternity leave.
