Jon Hamm of ‘Mad Men’ talks early LA living situation

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Mad Men’ star Jon Hamm said he didn’t have a classy lifestyle when he first moved to LA as he used to live in a room in an ex-soap star’s house.

The 39-year-old actor is now best known for his role as ad executive Don Draper in the hit TV series.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel Live, he revealed the details of his life when he first moved to LA.

He said: “We – me and four other people that I had never met – lived in a rented house that we rented from an 85-year-old ex-soap opera actress. It was like four bulls in one old lady china shop. I was sort of nominated as the de facto peacemaker – she lived in New York and maintained this place in LA – so whenever she would come back in town, it was my job to intercept her and be, like: ‘So those chairs… were they important to you at any point in your life?'”
