“A Very Potter Sequel” Now Online

By Hanako M. Ricks

HollywoodNews.com: That loud “SQUEE!!!” you just heard? It was the hoardes of Harry Potter fans exclaiming over the release of StarKid Production’s “A Very Potter Sequel” on YouTube. The popular video is the sequel to “A Very Potter Musical”, which began as a parody/musical based on the books series and has turned into a cult classic in the Potter fandom.

I will admit, I am one of the few people who have yet to watch AVPM in it’s entirety (something that I plan to correct this weekend so I can watch the sequel). StarKid Potter, as the cast is known, were in attendance and premiered the sequel at this past weekend’s Infinitus convention in Orlando and oh-em-gee, you’d have thought the Beatles were in the building! Fans began lining up 7 hours in advance to make sure they would have seats for what ended up as one of the hottest events at the convention. I didn’t get a chance to speak with them either, because their press event/Q&A session was scheduled at the same time as a panel that I was presenting. However, I got a chance to meet a few of the cast members on Thursday, and they all seem like really nice guys, and by all accounts from fans, very AWESOME. So I hope that at some time in the future, I’ll have a chance to meet and speak with them without worrying that I’ll be run over by the hundred of fangirls and fanboys trying to meet them.

Here is Part I of “A Very Potter Sequel”; the rest of the videos (and “A Very Potter Musical” as well) can all be found on StarKid Potter’s YouTube page.
