Heather Mills says “Losing my leg was easier than losing my marriage”

HollywoodNews.com: Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills has claimed her marriage break-up was harder than losing her leg.

Mills, 42, split with ‘The Beatles’ star in 2006 after four years of marriage and their divorce was finalized two years later.

She admitted that she found their break-up harder to deal with than when she lost her leg in a car crash 17 years ago.

Mills, who has a daughter Beatrice with McCartney, said to UK newspaper The People: “I was absolutely devastated and numb. I didn’t know what to do. Losing my left leg in a motorcycle accident was 20 times easier to deal with than losing my marriage. The thing that kept me going was Beatrice and my friends and family.”

She added: “Paul and I were completely in love. It was a real love story – but it ended even though I didn’t want it to. I had to leave. I had no choice. If I’d stayed you don’t want to know.”
