Top Gear controversy: Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz lap times in question
HollywoodNews.com: ‘Top Gear’ bosses have denied that the laps that Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz completed on the show were fixed.
The two A-listers recently took the top two spots on the leader board on the British show when they took part in the ‘Star In A Reasonably Priced Car’ feature.
Some viewers had texted in to BBC radio shows saying they thought the laps had been fixed but the show’s executive producer has denied the claims.
He said: “We are listening to armchair experts who don’t know a thing. They weren’t there, they don’t understand how laps are done. Their times were accurate, their times were truthful. It really saddens me that people who don’t know anything can then sour at the moment.”
