Steve Carell to keep auds laughing with ‘Wolfs’

HollywoodNews.com: Days before his film “Dinner for Schmucks” gets audiences in hysterics, Steve Carell has committed to “Raised by Wolfs,” his next comedy.

DreamWorks will be producing the pitch by Les Firestein. Carell will produce through his Carousel Productions label.

Hollywood Reporter had the scoop.

The plot is being kept secret, however, the protagonist’s last name is apparently Wolf.

Vance DeGeneres, Ellen’s brother and former “Daily Show” correspondent as well as Charlie Hartsock of Carousel are executive producers on “Wolfs.”

Recently, NBC officially announced that Carell was leaving “The Office,” though the comedic actor made his own headlines about this back in the late spring.

Carell’s Carousel has the following comedies set up at Warner Bros.: “Missing Links,” “Mail-Order Groom” and “Hi-T.”

Firestein is a former writer on Fox’s “In Living Color” and was an exec producer of “The Drew Carey Show.”
