Hollywood Discovery Awards Looking for Next Big Star

hollywoodnews.com: A call to action: Budding actors and actresses looking for their big break may find it with the Hollywood Discovery Awards. Are you the next big star the world has been looking for?

The two winners of the Hollywood Discovery Awards will be flown to Los Angeles and announced at the star-studded 14th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 25, 2010.

U.S. residents between the ages of 18-25 can submit an acting audition 2-3 minutes in length; five male and five female finalists will be selected by a blue-ribbon panel of casting directors from the Casting Society of America; and the general public will be able to vote online for their favorites. ET’s own Mary Hart hosted last year’s Hollywood Awards Gala, which saw such stars as Hilary Swank, Julianne Moore, Carey Mulligan, Gabourey Sidibe and Christoph Waltz receive accolades.
