Lindsay Lohan’s next co-star? The “Shamwow” guy.
By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Lindsay Lohan once co-starred with Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, and Jamie Lee Curtis. Now she’s sharing the “screen” with the Shamwow guy.
Well, Lohan’s actually sharing a cell with someone, and not the screen. But a release today pointed us toward the trailer for Square One Entertainment’s upcoming “Underground Comedy 2010,” which they describe as a “raunchy over-the-top sketch comedy” co-starring Lohan, Michael Clark Duncan, Bobby Lee (“Pineapple Express”), and Joanna Krupa. Oh yeah, and Vince “The Shamwow Guy” Offer.
The trailer is now available on YouTube. It features Lohan as Marilyn Monroe. I wish that was a joke.
EDITOR’S NOTE – This movie came out in 1999, and is being re-released to capitalize on Lohan’s constant headlines. That doesn’t make it any funnier, just somewhat more relevant.
“Underground Comedy 2010” was written and directed by Offer, and produced through his production company.
Don’t know Offer and his infomercials? Well, Snoop Dogg paid tribute to Offer by incorporating his Slap Chop line — “Fettuccini, linguini, martini, bikini” — into his verse on Katy Perry’s track “California Gurls.” Offer, according to the release, also was tapped by Eminem to write, direct, and star in a viral video to promote his new “Recovery” album.
“Underground Comedy 2010” is slated for a theatrical release this fall. Maybe Lohan will be out of prison in time for the red-carpet premiere.
