‘Dance in the Dark’ announced as Lady Gaga’s next single

HollywoodNews.com: According to The Music Network, the lyrically feminist song “Dance in the Dark” is to be Lady Gaga’s new single off her bestselling platinum album “The Fame Monster,” following “Alejandro”–which was Gaga’s first #1 TMN Hot 100 single. “Dance in the Dark” is the singer’s ninth single, and seven out of the nine have been Top 5 singles.

Thoughts on this announcement, little monsters? How ’bout ideas or predictions for Gaga’s next video?

I thought this was a stronger single than Alejandro. It’s a tribute in part to Madonna, so I expect we’ll hear a lot of Madonna-ripoff complaints from the haters. The voiceovers are Vogueish (Madonna herself has been accused of ripping off Malcolm McLaren re Vogue). Next up I’d like to see So Happy I Could Die. Not a typical single for her, but it would be a very interesting music video.

I hope Monster is coming next. That stood out much more as single material. Dance in the Dark is a safe option, but this is Lady Gaga!

Is the legit? I feel like it would be bigger news and more people would know about it by now. Does anybody know?

This one has been hovering for ages, waiting to come out. Although it may be a bit excessive, I hope she releases Monster after it. Considering she said that the new album won’t be released until next year, after she finishes the Monster Ball Tour, there is plenty of time for a new single.
