America Ferrera hopes to do an ‘Ugly Betty’ film

HollywoodNews.com: ‘Ugly Betty’ star America Ferrera has revealed that she hopes the TV show will return as a movie. The hit sitcom ended earlier this year and Ferrera said that she would like to see a movie-version of the TV series.

The 26-year-old actress, who plays office assistant Betty Suarez in the show, told What’s On TV: “There’s always a chance [of an Ugly Betty movie]. Hopefully, people will want more and then we can come back in [a film] in a couple of years and see what life after the show brought her. That would be wonderful and our audience would love it.”

But Ferrera added that she was happy with the way the TV drama ended.

She said: “I’m grateful that we had the time to wrap things up and do justice to Betty’s story, which we’ve been setting up for years.
