Marvel assembles “Avengers” logo for online audiences

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Avengers, assemble!

Or, if you listen to the neat teaser clip for Joss Whedon’s “The Avengers,” this is the day “the Avengers were born.”

Um, why didn’t they use the comic book’s famous slogan? That’s strange. Anyway, Coming Soon has the clip that Marvel showed fans at Comic-Con, teasing Whedon’s “Avengers” by only showing a logo. If you were there, you got to see the full cast (pictured above). The rest of us get this logo. It’s cool and all, but I want to see that Captain America costume test. C’mon, Marvel. Let’s get that footage online!

The star-studded “The Avengers” will be in theaters in 2012.
