“Rocky Horror” receives musical Blu-ray for 35th birthday

By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Let’s do the time warp again (and again and again and again)!

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” the ultimate example of movie-fan interaction, is turning 35 and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment is celebrating with a tricked out Blu-ray treatment of the cult fave.

Streeting on Oct. 19, “Rocky Horror” stars Tim Curry as a bizarre and self-proclaimed “sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania.” He’s joined by Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as a couple who find themselves lost on a cold, rainy night.

Boasting a newly-restored high definition transfer and 7.1 audio, the anniversary edition Blu-ray brims with exclusive new content including “Rocky-oke: Sing It!,” a “Picture-In-Picture Shadowcast Performance,” a vintage callback track, and plenty more BD-LIVE content. And for a limited time, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show: 35th Anniversary” will be packaged in a collectible 24-page book featuring legendary photography from Mick Rock, best known for his iconic shots of rock ‘n’ roll artists.
