Sylvester Stallone hasn’t received extra cash from ‘Rocky Balboa’

HollywoodNews.com: Sylvester Stallone says he hasn’t received any profits from his 2006 film “Rocky Balboa,” the last in the boxer-drama franchise.

“Rocky Balboa,” distributed by MGM and financed by Revolution Studios made a global haul of $155 million-plus.

But according to an interview with GQ, Stallone exclaims, “I haven’t seen a dime yet. [It made] nearly $200 million. That’s life, eh? That’s how it works these days.”

“They have this thing called ‘back end’,” say the actor-director, “You can make a movie for $12 million that makes $250 million, but it still ends up in the red. The studios say they added $50 million in publicity in the Ukraine or somewhere, and you’re like, ‘What?'”

Stallone looks to shake up the box office again on August 13 with his all-star action hero film, “The Expendables”
