Selena Gomez uncomfortable with wholesome image

HollywoodNews.com: As Selena Gomez grows up as a Disney star, she’s struggling a little with her “wholesome” image and figuring out exactly who she is as a person.

Gomez is frustrated with her good-girl image because, at 18 years old, she is still trying to figure out who she is, reports Digital Spy. Despite playing wholesome roles and being known as a Disney star, Gomez commented on her innocent image: “I never said I was that and I never tried to portray it.”

Looks like Gomez is also taking some time to figure out who she will be as she grows up, but maybe she’ll be able to avoid the criticism Miley Cyrus is getting for growing up.

I don’t think a lot of people understood what she was really trying to say and they just kind of ran with it…When the interviewer said you’re a good role model, she laughed (like that was a whole other topic that she wasn’t referring to) and said thank you. So it doesn’t mean that she wants to whore it up and I think it just means that she doesn’t like any names being put on her by everybody…she really just doesn’t like being all over the media and she just wants to figure out who she is without having to deal with names being put on her. And when a name, like that, is put on somebody for so long, they start to get tired of it and want the name gone without having to change who they are. People really took that one out of context.

Selena just want’s to be herself, but with all this confusion with people calling her perfect and a good girl and other name’s,she doesn’t know who she is right now. You just got to give her some space. Selena’s at this difficult age where she’s a teenager that’s going to be an adult soon but doesn’t know who she wants to be in the future.Shes still trying to find who she is right now.

If I correctly understand the statement …
There are not just black and white, but also gray.
You want to be not only put in a certain drawer
