Was Kristen Stewart not the first choice for ‘Twilight’ gig?

HollywoodNews.com: While many could not imagine anyone else playing Bella Swan in the ‘Twilight’ franchise, it may be possible that she wasn’t the original choice for the role.

Courtney Love is reportedly claiming that her daughter with Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean, was the first choice to play Bella in the series, states Entertainmentwise. Love is also alleging that Frances Bean was wanted by Tim Burton for the role in Alice in Wonderland, but that her daughter isn’t interested in becoming famous and wants to go to college instead.

However, it has been reported before that Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the first movie who cast Kristen in the role, always wanted Kristen after seeing her work in Into the Wild.
