Lea Michele inspires fans with positive self-image

HollywoodNews.com: “Glee” star Lea Michele is dressing up as Britney Spears for an upcoming episode, but she’s never felt pressure to actually look like her.

As she tells US Weekly, “I come from a big Italian family and the pressure is not really anything I’ve been raised to feel.”

Even so, Michele is aware that she’s an anomaly in Hollywood. “I never really thought there would be a place on television for me.” Having clearly been proven wrong, she adds, “I’ve always been proud of my body, my Jewish nose and all of that. Hollywood’s Hollywood, but that’s not going to change…If that is inspiring and can give young girls a sense of confidence, that’s great.”

Michele returns as Rachel Berry in “Glee”‘s second season on September 21.
