‘Eat Pray Love’ opens to a strong $8 million
HollywoodNews.com: Julia Robert’s latest film “Eat Pray Love” that follows a modern woman on a quest to marvel at and travel the world while rediscovering and reconnecting with her true inner self has opened the weekend with a strong start.
The film has already rolled in $8 million, which should jump to $25 million by the end of the weekend, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Meanwhile, action film “Expendables” opened to an impressive $13 million that should grow to $35 million by Sunday, while Michel Cera’s “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” brought in a disappointing $4.5 million.
Rounding out the top five are “The Other Guys” bringing in $5 million on Friday and “Inception,” which grossed an additional $3 million bringing the weekend total to around $11 million.
