Hollywoodnews.com: You knew some big news had to come out of this weekend’s “Star Wars Celebration” in Orlando, Florida. I think this qualifies.
The six “Star Wars” films – both the original trilogy, as well as George Lucas’s less-beloved prequels – will make their Blu-ray debut in the Fall of 2011.
The films, which will be packaged in a commemorative box set, will offer “the highest possible picture and audio presentation,” according to a release posted on ComingSoon.net. There also will be tons of extra features, such as “Making of” documentaries, interviews, and never-before-seen footage.
“Blu-ray is the absolute best way to experience Star Wars at home – in pristine high definition,” said Lucas. “The films have never looked or sounded better.”
